About Me

I am an independently licensed clinical therapist with experience working with people of all ages who have found themselves faced with anxiety, depression, traumatic experiences, life transition and stress, parenting challenges, social and relationship issues, and feeling stuck in general. My style is highly relational, warm, supportive and sprinkled with humor when appropriate. While I work with individuals of all ages, I find that many of my referrals tend to be tweens, teens, and young adults who are at transition points in their lives.

Our initial sessions will focus on building trust and using collaboration, reflection, and curiosity as we develop a plan to address your concerns. I firmly believe that we all have inherent resources and strengths within us that can be tapped into to support the process of healing and growth. My approach pulls from various evidence-based psychotherapy methods and is tailored to each individual’s needs and learning and interactional style. As we work to establish the trustworthy and safe environment, I hope to help you or your child identify and achieve your and/or their goals by improving adaptability, conscious decision making, resilience, and playfulness.

For the past 19 years I have worked in a variety of settings including outpatient therapy, therapeutic schools, residential, and foster care and adoptions. I use a holistic mind-body approach informed by Attachment Theory, Sensorimotor Therapies, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS).

Originally from Up State New York, I have worked professionally in human services with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds in Chicago, IL; Fort Lauderdale, FL; and Albany, NY prior to moving to Boston, MA to pursue a Master’s in Social Work at Boston College. Since graduating in 2008, I worked in trauma-focused settings as a clinician and Program Director in the Boston Metrowest area. My training has centered on studying under pioneers of trauma-informed practices to support individuals and families who have been impacted by adverse childhood experiences, disrupted attachments, and international and domestic adoption. I have also found a niche for working with teens, transition-age youth, and young adults in demanding academic or professional settings who are struggling with the pressures of high school, college admissions, or navigating early careers.

The decision to seek the support of therapy for yourself or a loved one is not a light one and at times can feel overwhelming. I have a deep appreciation of the courage it takes to reach out during a time of vulnerability and welcome the chance to speak with you about your needs.
